Description

Position: Level 2.5 Engineer (Potenital Sponsotship)
Location: Parkes, NSW
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to $100,000 + super

Note: this role may offer sponsorship for the right candidate

A newly created role working on client site. You will have backup for the more complex technical issues.

What we are looking for:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications as a Level 2 Desktop Support Engineer.
Respond to and resolve escalated technical issues from Level 1 support team members and end-users in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and functionality of desktop systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software problems, including network connectivity issues, printer malfunctions, and software conflicts.
Utilize remote desktop tools to provide remote support and assist users with technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their work.
Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network and system administrators, to troubleshoot and resolve issues that require cross-functional expertise.
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including issue resolution steps, troubleshooting procedures, and user communication.
Conduct user training sessions and create user-friendly documentation to enhance end-user knowledge and self-help capabilities.
Participate in hardware and software procurement processes, providing technical expertise and recommendations for desktop-related purchases.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in desktop support to continually enhance technical skills and provide effective support.
